When last week's outing began, only four hearty Duffers were standing on the 1st tee. Mike Pier, Russ Lines, Jeannine Russell and Jeff Brienen survived the 100 degree day! The Duffers never fail to amaze!!!
This week we're at San Juan Hills. There is no $15 reservation fee as we were able to book these times during the normal booking timeframe (very unusual; don't expect this in the future). Again this week we have another small group.

The first person in each group is responsible for (1) keeping their group on a 4-hour/round pace, (2) reminding everyone to help fellow Duffers find lost balls, navigate bunkers and difficult terrain (often requires violation of cart path only rules), and (3) collecting for the 19th hole.
A reminder to all Duffers . . . Starting times are made/confirmed with each of the courses one week in advance. Pairings and specific tee times are usually made several days in advance. Whenever possible, a minimum of eight days notice of your intent to play or not is helpful to our scheduling effort. Of course things come up on short notice that require dropouts and no one should feel any obligation to play. The greater amount of notice you can give allows us to notify the course(s) so that they can fill cancelled spots, also minimizes multiple late changes to the Duffers grid and website, and avoids possible penalties levied by the courses.
