The first person in each group is responsible for (1) keeping their group on a 4-hour/round pace, (2) reminding everyone to help fellow Duffers find lost balls, navigate bunkers and difficult terrain (often requires violation of cart path only rules), and (3) collecting for the 19th hole.

A reminder to all Duffers . . . Starting times are made/confirmed with each of the courses one week in advance. Pairings and specific tee times are usually made several days in advance. Whenever possible, a minimum of eight days notice of your intent to play or not is helpful to our scheduling effort. Of course things come up on short notice that require dropouts and no one should feel any obligation to play. The greater amount of notice you can give allows us to notify the course(s) so that they can fill cancelled spots, also minimizes multiple late changes to the Duffers grid and website, and avoids possible penalties levied by the courses.​
