CONTEST RULES & RESULTS

Beginning in 2008 we began keeping records of our weekly contests. Click on the year below to see Closest-to-the-pin winners, long-drive winners, and fewest-putts winners as well as the weekly balance of the Bank of Lienzo.

As of the 2024 season, here are the updated contest rules:

1. Closest-to-the-pin on all par 3’s. Ball must be on the green. Only your FIRST shot counts.

2. Long drive hole varies by course. Ball must be in the fairway in order to be eligible. Duffers should tee from the tee box they are playing the round from. If playing combo tees, use the tee noted on the scorecard.

3. Fewest putts -- keep a mark at 22” on your putter. No gimmies outside of 22”. If you knock your putt away without verifying that it is inside the gimmie range, an honorable Duffer will declare himself ineligible for that week’s fewest putts contest.

4. OBs -- Duffers treat all OBs as lateral hazards.

5. Lost Balls (on the course) -- Balls that do not go into hazards, bushes, or OBs but cannot be found can be dropped where they were deemed lost. No penalty. No additional strokes added to your score.

6. Low Net competition -- Winning player (each week) will have a 3-stroke deduction from their course handicap the next time they play.
